Michael oversees the team that works in responding to crisis calls through counselling, and referral of cases to frontline child protection service providers. He specializes in Gender and Development Work with a keen interest in child protection, youth development, social justice, and sexual & reproductive health rights. With over 10 years’ experience in this field, he is a well sought professional and at national level he is well known for advocacy work in the field of child protection. He has overseen campaigns targeting Local Government Authorities in budgeting for children services. Michael is also a technical adviser to the Tanzania Child Rights Forum – A national umbrella organization bringing together over 250 CSOs working with and for children. He is also a certified Country Facilitator in Psychosocial Support, trained by REPPSI and the University of Kwa Zulu Natal – South Africa.
