Michael specializes in Gender and Development with a keen interest in child protection, youth development, social justice, and sexual & reproductive health rights, with over 11 years’ experience in this field. He is a qualified social audit fellow who is a well sought professional at National, Regional and International level for advocacy work in the field of child Rights, GBV and related fields.
He has overseen campaigns targeting Local Government Authorities in budgeting for children services and developing child friendly budgets. Michael is also a technical adviser to several National, Regional and International Institutions on Child Rights Programming.
He is also experienced in Child Rights Policy Advocacy, Most Vulnerable Children (MVC) and Social Development Programming.
Michael leads C-Sema's teams in child rights Advocacy specifically on child safeguarding, child friendly budgeting, child rights governance, refugee children protection, child trafficking & child labour, Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights, Female Genital Mutilation /Cutting (FGM/C) state party and CSOs reporting to Regional and International Human Rights Instruments & Treaties and engagement with policy makers, donor engagement and project proposal writing.
Michael serves as the Child Helpline International's Deputy Africa Regional Representative, Men Engage Africa Representative and Parenting In Africa Network Country Representative.
